Home for the holidays

I love being home :]  It's always a good day when you can go to yoga in the morning, decorate cookies in the afternoon, go see Mission Impossible 4 (which was pretty good by the way. The second Sherlock Holmes was better.. but who wants to hear movie critiques from me?) and then watch Doctor Who in your bed at night.  But what's the best about being home is that I get to catch up on all of the latest family jokes, stories and CD purchases.  I love how close I am to my family.  I love how I can be myself around them.  Today mom and I asked my brother to put on a CD while we were decorating cookies and he asked what we'd like to listen to.  I said Les Miserables and expected someone to laugh.  But mom said "yeah!" and we sang the songs at the top of our lungs while turning star-shaped sugar cookies into works of art.  I've been very much out of step lately and I think being back at home will help me.  I don't know what it is lately but.. I haven't been able to write.  I try and I try but nothing comes out the way I want it to.  It's been like an extended writer's block and it's driving me mad.  But I really do think being at home will help me.  Tomorrow I'm going to attack the songwriting thing again.  Today was not a success but maybe tomorrow!  Tomorrow. ToMA-a-A-row!  :]  Wish me luck!
Speaking of tomorrow, tomorrow's Christmas eve!  How exciting is that??  I love Christmas :]  But that might mostly be because of the fact that we get to drag a tree into the middle of our house.  I just love it!  Christmas trees are so cozy and happy :]  But you gotta wonder who came up with the idea..   Anyway! Merry Christmas to you all!
Love,
Lexi
