Home for the holidays

I love being home :]  It's always a good day when you can go to yoga in the morning, decorate cookies in the afternoon, go see Mission Impossible 4 (which was pretty good by the way. The second Sherlock Holmes was better.. but who wants to hear movie critiques from me?) and then watch Doctor Who in your bed at night.  But what's the best about being home is that I get to catch up on all of the latest family jokes, stories and CD purchases.  I love how close I am to my family.  I love how I can be myself around them.  Today mom and I asked my brother to put on a CD while we were decorating cookies and he asked what we'd like to listen to.  I said Les Miserables and expected someone to laugh.  But mom said "yeah!" and we sang the songs at the top of our lungs while turning star-shaped sugar cookies into works of art.  I've been very much out of step lately and I think being back at home will help me.  I don't know what it is lately but.. I haven't been able to write.  I try and I try but nothing comes out the way I want it to.  It's been like an extended writer's block and it's driving me mad.  But I really do think being at home will help me.  Tomorrow I'm going to attack the songwriting thing again.  Today was not a success but maybe tomorrow!  Tomorrow. ToMA-a-A-row!  :]  Wish me luck!
Speaking of tomorrow, tomorrow's Christmas eve!  How exciting is that??  I love Christmas :]  But that might mostly be because of the fact that we get to drag a tree into the middle of our house.  I just love it!  Christmas trees are so cozy and happy :]  But you gotta wonder who came up with the idea..   Anyway! Merry Christmas to you all!
Love,
Lexi

oh! And the mix!
The Christmas Song- Catherine Feeny
Carol of the Bells- the bird and the bee
Winter Wonderland- Jason Mraz
And some classic Christmas songs:
Baby, It's Cold Outside- Ray Charles and Betty Carter
I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm- Billie Holiday

Songs and Zombies (Still Dreaming)

Wow..  So I haven't blogged in a while. And I apologize for that. To the reader from Russia that read my blog this week: Sorry that it's not more entertaining. Maybe if I made up some action to my life it would be interesting...
Anywho! So since I last posted, a few things have happened. First: I played a show at Velour two weeks ago!  It was an amazing experience.  It was probably my best gig ever because everything clicked!  I was in a good mood, I had practiced, I was ready to rock and the audience was responsive.  Guys.  You have NO idea how important that is to a good show!  Concerts are always so much better when the audience is listening and laughing and really emotionally connecting to the performer.  I don't care if people talk, like some people do, as long as they're still responding to me.  It makes such a difference!  It boosts the performer's confidence which lets them crawl a little bit more out of their shell which then makes the audience connect even more and it's just an upward spiral from there!

So yes.  That was amazing.  Plus mom came out from Colorado for the show.  It was nice having a mom around again for a few days.  You don't realize how awesome they are until you have to take care of yourself. ug. Laundry?  Heck.  I'll just buy more clothes!  haha
Another exciting thing that happened was Halloween!  Guys.  Halloween is my favorite holiday ever.  You know why? because I love fall.  I love the leaves, I love scarfs, I love blankets, I love pumpkin bread, I love the grey sky.. I love Halloween decorations!  I only had a string of skeleton lights in our apartment and I was kind of really depressed about not having more decorations.  I think my roommates could tell that I was actually physically upset about it.  And they decided it would be a good idea to make more decorations.  So guess what they made?  Little ghosts made out of tampons!  Hahaha we then hung them up right outside our door.

We got quite a few complements.  haha  But then Tessa got a package in the mail and my mom bought me a couple decorations so we actually had a pretty good looking Halloween apartment!  I was satisfied.  But the best thing about Halloween this year was what we dressed up as: I was a zombie slayer and Chelan and Tessa were zombies!! (Candace was at a wedding. I would have been out numbered had she been an available zombie)  Everyone at the Halloween party we went to loved our group costume.  And afterwards, we had a little photo shoot together.

Needless to say, they turned out pretty awesome :]

After Halloween, all I've been up to is homework.  But that's college!  Midterms, papers, homework and art projects.  But I love being an art major.  It's a blast!  When most people say "homework" they mean they'll be in the library till all hours of the night.  I'm usually at home taking up the kitchen table with my paint, colored pencils, magazines, and pens.  I have no reason to complain :]

. . . . .

Something I'm going to start doing to make this blog interesting is making a short mix for all of my readers of the songs I can't seem to get enough of for the week.

This week's mix:
"Furr" by Blitzen Trapper ( >>the video<< is awesome!)
"Two-Headed Boy" by Neutral Milk Hotel
"Blue Spotted Tail" by Fleet Foxes
"Up In Flames" by Coldplay
"I've Got This Friend" by The Civil Wars
"Blue Skies" by Noah and the Whale

So there you have it!

Thank you to everyone!  You guys are the best :]

Love,
Lexi Lyon

What a way to find out..

I just barely found out by random clicking and reading on Facebook that one of my friends died 5 days ago...  We weren't close and we never really talked but I know and love that whole group of kids he was in. They were the group I had tried to get into senior year of high school but only managed to get my leg in the door. You know, those kids that were always laughing and doing something crazy and just looked like they were the best friends that anyone could ever have. I got to know and love almost all of them..
We all went to sushi together just this summer for Connor's birthday... I remember Connor screaming Scott's name as he drove up. He was always such a good friend to everyone. Especially Connor. I wish I had known him better..  I always wished that.  He was such a great kid..  And now I'm crying in the middle of a group of studying kids.
I don't even know how it happened. No one said in all of the Facebook stalking that I did. They all just said really really awesome things about him that made me cry even more. I don't want to ask anyone..  and maybe I don't want to know. But I just hope he's doing better now and God can help him help all of the awesome friends he left behind.
Rest in peace Scott Neel.

Songwriters Showdown

So! I just competed in this songwriters showdown at Muse Muse and Cafe this week. It was a blast! I really got to see what other songwriters in the area are into and what's being made in Provo. There is some really cool stuff! My friend, Brady Parks, won the whole thing. He's AMAZING! Here's a link to his music >>click here<<  He's such a fun friend to have around. He really inspires me..
But that's the distressing news... I've only written one song since I've been here! I just have nothing to say! I don't know what's wrong! I'm just so..  blah lately. I'm starting to think college isn't my thing. I'm antsy. I want to write, hike, play and draw. I don't want to sit and study and listen to people talk at me. I like learning, but I don't like how much time I waste. Like the Hindu yogi told me "Don't let school get in the way of your education." But I need to graduate...  don't I?

Zesty zesty life. yum

So earlier this summer, I wrote up and posted my Bucket List. And because of that, I've been working on crossing them off my list (and adding along the way :]) because, hey! There's no time like the present to have an adventure! Since I wrote it, I've been able to cross off 3 of my adventures!

#1 Write, record and produce an album

done and done! :]
Then there was #10 Go whale watching

My dad and I went on an Alaskan cruise, that I wrote about a while ago, and got to go on a tiny boat with 4 other people and go whale watching in Juneau! It was magical! Whales are just.. ah! They amaze me. My mom says that when she got to go whale watching, she cried. It's so beautiful to be so close..

And #9 Get a faux hawk
That one happened just yesterday actually! I finally gathered my courage and went into get a haircut with a picture of a super short pixie cut. And I got it! My hair's gone! So then that night at the BYU vs Utah State football game, I gelled my hair into a faux hawk. I looked so punk rock! But, unfortunately, I did not get a picture of the event. But here's a picture of my new hair styled normally!

I love it :]  showering and blowdrying take almost no time now and I feel just.. very confident! I almost feel like I was hiding behind my "long" hair. Now everything's out there and I'm just saying "Hello!". I feel like it fits my loud, confident, quirky personality. I almost panicked watching all of my hair collect in a puddle on the floor, but after she was done, all I could say was "awww yeah".

I encourage anyone to start on a Bucket List. It seems to make life more exciting! You feel accomplished for doing amazing things with your time. It brings out a passion for living! That's what I strive for.

Love always,
Lexi

Pandora!

Big news! As of today, I am officially on Pandora!!
I'll admit...  I now have a "Lex Lyon" station..  but hey! It's awesome what they've paired me with! It's all this obscure indie stuff and I LOVE IT!! I'm hearing so much new music and it's all because of this bomb stuff the big-wig music genome Pandora panel people have declared people who like my music will also like. And I sure hope I attract the kind of kids that listen to this stuff. I'm..  I'm honestly flattered. I feel legit..  for real. Yeah being on iTunes is pretty sweet, but anyone and their mom can get on there. But PANDORA? ARE YOU SERIOUS??? haha They have to LIKE you for that stuff!! It's exciting and I'm excited  if you couldn't tell.  :]
Well..  I'm off to do laundry and try to write a song while my clothes spin around and my quarters get eaten up.
Love you all! Thank you for all the support!!
Love,
Lexi

First Week in Provo

So as some of you may know, I transfered schools.  Yes, Belmont was awesome and yes, I know, Nashville's amazing as well.  But I'm glad I transfered here!  I've had a pretty sweet week!  But before I get into that, let me explain my logic in coming here.
During my first semester at Belmont, I had it in my head that I was going to transfer to BYU after I tried Nashville out for a year.  I was homesick, I was depressed and somewhat friendless and I think I was just sick of being stuck in that gross little dorm.  And in this fairly desperate state, I reapplied to BYU.  Then, of course, when it didn't really matter, I made some amazing friends.  So towards the end of that last semester, I had a minor panic attack, didn't want to be the new girl again, and decided to register for classes at Belmont and stay put.  My mind was made up; I was going to stay at Belmont and finish my Songwriting degree.  haha Well!  Psyche!  Half way through the summer I started having doubts.  Again.  Lovely.  So I decided that I needed to figure this out once and for all.  And what do I turn to?  Lists!

Pros of BYU
- cheaper
- closer to home
- the Graphic Design program is awesome
- more LDS kids my age
- the indie music scene is awesome there
- two good music venues right down the street
- can drive home
- don't have to be in the dorms another year
- smaller "pond"
- songwriting may actually seem special there
- not just another girl with a guitar
- oh and Emily Butler would visit :)

Cons of BYU
- not a lot of artists tour through Utah
- less connections to music industry
- wife-seeking return missionaries

Pros of Belmont
- music industry
- awesome major
- I'm in love with Nashville
- wouldn't have to move my junk again

Cons of Belmont
- far away
- have to fly a lot
- way expensive
- not super practical
- small fish in a big pond
- I disappear

So that was my list! Logically...  both schools kind of made sense.  But BYU seemed to stand out.  The biggest thing with Nashville, obviously, was the fact that no one seemed to care or notice that I had a passion and I was dying to share it with everyone,  but so was everyone else.  Yeah, it was cool that I was an actual Songwriting major (most were music business majors), but in Nashville everyone and their mom writes songs.  So I guess it felt a bit suffocating as aposed to nurturing.
But then the worry with Provo is that I had no idea if there even was a place for me!  Is there a good music scene?  I don't know!  So I asked my songwriting friend, Brady, who hed been to school there about the music and he swore by it.  He claimed it had one of the best, most creative indie music scene he had ever seen.  So that was comforting.
But, being me, I was still torn.  I had two good options- that's probably when deciding is hardest.
But I decided to take the plunge.
According to my History of Creativity class, creativity is at it's peak when you are constantly adopting new ideas from a changing environment.  So maybe that's why I'm here.  To get a new boost of creativity.  I definitely saw a rise and maturation of creativity in Songwriting during my year in Nashville.  So that makes me excited for this new experience!  I'm ready for what Provo has to offer me!
And guess what?  With that attitude, I've already played my first gig here!  I've been here all of 10 days!
So last Thursday I was wandering the halls of the maze that is BYU when my mom spotted a poster for a student acoustic night.  So I turned in a demo CD for them to consider putting me in the program.  The next Monday I got an e-mail from Student Activities saying they loved my music and asking if I could come in and live audition for the big end-of-welcome-week carnival that Friday.  I said sure and ran in there Wednesday morning.  I played No Regrets and Love Can Last and apparently they really dug it because they gave me the third half hour slot.  Second to last!  That's a big deal.  That means I'm practically the headliner haha
But the gig was a success!  There were probably 200 students there wandering the fair and about 70 sitting and just listening.  I couldn't sell CDs so I brought 10 for promo.  And after I performed, I was mobbed and ended up running out of CDs!  It was great!  I really seemed to connect to people.  It made my whole stressful first week back at school better.

I love performing!!
I love my job :]
And it's all because of the people listening.  Thank you to anyone who reads this :]
Love,
Lexi

BYU Carnival

Ok. So tonight I have my first ever gig in Provo, Utah. And it's at this huge end-of-welcome-week BYU carnival thing. And.. I'm nervous. Usually I'm not too nervous before a gig. But I don't know anything about this one! I don't know if there will be 40 or 4000 people there watching! I've been thinking about my setlist and practicing and worrying all day. It's the first impression most people here are going to ever have of me. As their class mate! I just hope I don't mess up...

Wish me luck!

Lexi

MileHiRadio

Today I had the opportunity to go into a real radio station studio! I still cannot believe that I was on the radio! Me! Little Lexi Lyon from Parker! haha This music career thing continues to blow me away.
About two weeks ago, I got an e-mail from this guy Hoss telling me how he randomly picked up the Parker newspaper and read the article about me, looked my music up and decided that I needed to be on his show. On his online radio station he has a show called the Indie 500 where he interviews indie music groups and artists from everywhere and anywhere. So, obviously, I said I would love to come in! So there I was today, walking into a real radio station, still not really realizing what was happening.
So I walk in with my guitar and my manager (mom) and the guy who's sitting in front of the mixing board turns around "Hi Lexi! Hoss will be in in a moment." So there I was, feeling famous already. haha
And the funny part is I went in today thinking that I had, oh you know, 15 minutes on the air. Oh no. I had an hour! So Hoss talked with me for about 20 minutes at a time, played one of my songs in between and I got to play No Regrets live! They loved me! They were all so nice. Later they were telling me how online radio is really growing because it doesn't have the one limit that AM and FM radio has: it can be heard anywhere. He said that he has listeners from 32 different countries. Thousands of people probably heard me today. Kind of.. mind blowing. Especially since I messed up and said Mercedes Benz was a Joni Mitchell song. It was a Janis Joplin song. Everyone around the world was thinking "Boy, she's an idiot" haha Oh I sure hope not! But let me say I'm sorry and realize the error of my ways.
But anyway, here are a few pictures of the interview!

If you missed me live on MileHiRadio.com, you can listen > here <

Thanks everyone who's made all of this possible. I have the best fans ever!

Lexi

Alaska

So I just got home from my Alaskan cruise!
There's so much to say about it.. It was inspiring and beautiful and magical and went way above and beyond my expectations. Dad and I had a blast! But I realized that my childish fantasy of running off and living in Alaska like Chris McCandless were just that: childish. Even in the summer I was bundled up! I'm not a hardened nature buff. Maybe one day..  But it was wonderful to visit. Such an enchanting place..
In port in Juneau

Juneau was a cute little down. The tree-covered mountains surrounded the town like they were about to swallow up the buildings and everyone inside them. They told us it rains almost every day in the summer. Lucky us! Monday happened to be one of the days it decided to only rain for about ten minutes. After walking around the tourist shopping town, we got into a mini van with two ladies from Texas and a newly wed couple from Sweden and headed off to a boat dock on the other side of town. There we all piled onto a tiny tiny boat. Our captain introduced himself as Steve, Captain Steve. We then proceeded to look for whales in the bay. He claimed he knew how to find them easily: he looked for other whale watching boats. Not as magical as I would have hoped but sure enough! We found about ten other boats circled around this pod of about 8 Humpback whales! They were splashing around and flipping their tails at us and bleaching and we even got to see them bubble netting! Bubble netting is how Humpbacks in south east Alaska (they only do it there!) feed on small fish. They'll gather around a school of fish and blow bubbles around them in a sort of bubbly cage. The fish get really confused and all stay trapped inside this cage and all the humpbacks come up from under them with their mouths open. It's wild! Just out of no where all of a sudden all of these whales pop out of the water with their mouths wide open! Here's a picture I found on google... (It looks just like this! But it happens so randomly and so quickly that I didn't get any good pictures. But I saw this about six times!)
Bubble netting

And after the whale watching trip, we headed over to Mendenhall Glacier. This thing was huge! It's amazing to think that old snow can eventually carve valleys and fiords. When it snows, I don't think of something so powerful! I feel like I could dive into a motivational speech right now about how little actions can eventually make a huge difference or how if we all work together, we can move mountains, but I'll save that for someone else.

So then the next day we arrived in Skagway, hopped in a bus with a bunch of other people from our cruise and headed on a little tour of the area. We panned for gold (I think I found like a penny's worth), took pictures at every scenic place the bus would let us stop, and even crossed over into Canada.
I promise. There's gold on my finger.

And! OH! We saw a black bear! On our way back into Alaska, there was a bear on the edge of a cliff! While everyone was taking pictures, I was yelling "No! Don't do it! WE LOVE YOU!!"  I got the whole bus to giggle a little. Then right as I pulled out my camera, what does the bus driver decide to do? Start the bus. So. Here's my pathetic picture of the bear.
 Can't you tell that's a bear?

Then it was onto Glacier Bay! Glaciers are crazy. As I've already explained..  but anyway what's REALLY cool about them is when they calve. The noise even the smallest piece tumbling into the ocean is crazy! It sounds like thunder! The captain stopped the ship and we got to sit and watch this glacier for an hour. It was mesmerizing. People were trying to predict what would fall next. But the coolest part was, even with hundreds of people on deck, when ever a piece would start to calve, a few people would shout it out and point but then everyone would fall deathly silent and just watch. Everyone was just in awe. It was wonderful..  To know that so many people are still in love with the world and can still feel inspired by nature. Maybe that's getting a little to cheesy and deep, but it was an amazing thing to witness.
Glacier Bay

Ketchikan! This place is the rain capitol of America and, you know what? It rained the whole time. But it was a beautiful town! Little artsy Creek Street is wonderful! And if I thought I wouldn't miss the sun even a little bit, I could have lived there. I could have a little art shop and learn how to paint and sing for my customers and fish out my back window! It'd be perfect! But then... oh then. The tour group we were with went to this Lumberjack show. No. I'm serious. A LUMBERJACK SHOW. That ruined the cute, quaint day dream I was in the middle of! Four burly men with axes and chainsaws and really bad puns in my new-found dream town? No way. So I scratched that dream.

But then we headed to this rainforest. It was amazing! There were totem poles everywhere! North west Indians knew what art was all about. They had it down before anyone. These crazy wood carvings were beautiful illustrations of their life stories- every single one. I want someone to think I'm cool enough to spend the time carving and painting something so epic about me. haha Maybe one day!
Ketchikan Totem Pole

We then spent the next day at sea. Which wasn't too bad... there was a desert buffet...   :)

But then that night we arrived on Vancouver Island. Victoria, British Columbia! It was a beautiful city! Huge city parks, right on the water, trees everywhere, cute artsy little stores made up down town and our cruise only gave us four hours to explore! So we went to the famous Butchart Gardens. That garden is AMAZING! Completely blew me away. I cannot imagine the work and planning and care that kind of gardens must take. It was beautiful during the day! The flowers were all in bloom and there were people sitting out on the grass watching the concert. It was very picturesque, a perfect summer day! But then the most wonderful thing happened; the sun set. And the garden seemed to be taken over by Alice in Wonderland or a Tim Burton of sorts. It was magical! The flowers and trees were all lit up and the fountain had color changing lights. It was the second best part of the whole trip (whales still top that chart).
Butchart Gardens at night

The cruise was amazing. That's one thing on my Bucket List that I can cross off! But what about the Northern Lights? Well! The lights are up north a bit and don't show up until September. And that's when things start to get chilly. I guess next time I'll just have to plan around them though, won't I? :)
Love,
Lexi

Big News!!

I finally got the website up! It looks so good!!
A special thank you to my uncle, Howard Lyon, for being such a help! He's awesome. He's an amazing artist and he works from home and his studio is fantastic. I want to be an amazing artist! Maybe one day.. but he designs for Dungions and Dragons and the Star Wars: Old Republic game that will be coming out soon and stuff like that and then religious stuff haha it's kinda funny. He had to split the site into two sections so Jesus wasn't next to Jaba the Hut haha
But! The website! It's www.lexilyon.com  and I'm very proud of it :]  from this site, you can subscribe to my newsletter that I'll start to send out now, buy my CD, listen to my music, read when my next gig is, contact me to have me play at your pool party or whatever! It's pretty nifty. I love it. Go take a peek :]

www.lexilyon.com

And! Also big news... as of Saturday...    I'M ON ITUNES! check it out!

This week's been pretty exciting :]  I've been really busy, but it's all paying off! Crazy how that works sometimes haha  but it's all very exciting and I can't believe I'm only 19 and I have a CD on iTunes! :D

Back in the day

So I'm out here in the Arizona heat visiting family and working on my music website with my uncle. Pfew! It was 115 outside the other day. And no one seemed to notice that that was insane except for me! They kept calling me "Colorado Sister". I guess I haven't really lived here since I was 11. I'm not used to it and I can only handle it for about a week at a time. Usually we visit during the winter (smart family) but I decided that I needed my graphic design uncle's help on this so I'm here for a week. And I'm cooking alive!!
I am getting a lot done though. The website's looking so good :]
And it's always fun to reminisce in this place. I was such a little twerp! I keep remembering little things when I pass places I remember growing up. Flag football in the retention basin, walking to Sonic with the cousins, regretting walking to Sonic in the heat with the cousins, trying to fry eggs on the black top, catching ladybugs in the spring, laying down in the street in the warm summer rain..
Here's a picture of me, my dad and my brothers back in the Mesa, Arizona days.

Cd's have arrived!!

Today I came in from gardening and saw 7 boxes stacked up by the front door. Mom smiled and said "grab a knife". So I ran to the boxes and cut them open to find hundreds of my CD's all wrapped up and stacked inside. Rows and rows of colorful CD's! I'm so excited to start getting these out to everyone! They look so amazing thanks to everyone who helped! Now I have something amazing to sell at my gigs or to show off to friends or even just to say "look what I accomplished". It was a lot of hard work and I still have a lot of hard work in front of me, but I know it'll all be worth it. I'm so glad I've decided to take the risk :]

My Bucket List

So about a month ago I decided to create a Bucket List. A bucket list is simply a list of things you really want to accomplish in life. This can be things you want to accomplish in your area of work, adventures you want to have around the world, just random, or small things you want to do around your hometown. It just all depends on how crazy you want to go with it and if you want to realistically accomplish everything on your list and play it safe. I decided to be really random with it and do a bit of everything! Which seems to be how I am in every aspect of my life...

My Bucket List

  1. Write and produce an album
  2. Study art in Europe
  3. Go backpacking in the Rockies
  4. See the Aurora Borealis
  5. Create most of the art in my own home
  6. Earn my scuba diving license
  7. Put flowers on John Lennon's grave
  8. Learn how to cook from scratch
  9. Donate my hair to a cute bald kid
  10. Get a faux hawk
  11. Go whale watching
  12. Serve on a mission trip somewhere
  13. Write a song for each child I have
  14. Visit each continent
  15. Read the whole Lord of the Rings series
  16. Learn how to speak French
  17. Hold a sign in the crowd at an NBA game
  18. Climb a major mountain
  19. Own a yellow Jeep Wrangler
  20. Live somewhere new and foreign for a part of my life
  21. Watch every Harry Potter movie in a week’s time
  22. See the Pieta in person
  23. Get married and start a family
  24. Learn to roll sushi in Tokyo
  25. Own every Beatles album
  26. Eat pizza in Italy
I have successfully completed number one already and that album will be coming out in July! I'm planning on hiking in the Rockies soon and I'm going on a cruise with my dad to Alaska in August! I'm really going to try for these. I'm going to go all out and try to really live my life.

Discovering a New Band

So this last Friday, my brothers and I went to go see Jack's Mannequin at The Black Sheep in Colorado Springs. And I fell in love with the opening band. They were so quirky and they really knew how to capture an audience. They told the background story or idea behind their songs, they offered a temporary tattoo to anyone who would submit an idea for a title to their next album and they even took a picture of the group, put it on their Facebook page and told everyone from the concert to tag themselves in it. They were honestly one the best I have ever seen in the way that they got everyone in the audience to participate and feel like they were intimately connected with the group themselves. I want to make everyone who hears my music feel like that! Because that's what it's all about anyway, right?
This is Matthew Frankel, the drummer, from Lady Danville and me, of course, sporting their t-shirt!

Books on my list to read

I'm currently reading "The Fountainhead" by Ayn Rand and I LOVE it! And it makes me realize how much I truly love to read. So I decided to make a list of books that I need to read after this one.

"On The Road" by Jack Kerouac

"Anthem" by Ayn Rand

"Life of Pi" by Yann Martel

"The Invention of Everything Else" by Samantha Hunt

"Radiohead and Philosophy" by Forbes and Reisch

"Talking to Girls About Duran Duran" by Rob Sheffield

Oh and the Whole Lord of the Rings series!

If anyone has suggestions, please leave them here for me :]

It's all the little things

Some people go through this life without actually noticing that they're living. I want to make it my new project to make sure that I'm living, that I'm taking note, that I'm appreciating the small thing. Because it's all the little things that really make us happy.
